Solomons, Estella

Estella Solomons (b. Dublin 1882 and d. 1968) studied at the Dublin Metropolitan School of Art and Chelsea College of Art, London.

A memorial exhibition was held in the Hendricks Gallery in 1973, and a retrospective of her work was held in the Frederick Gallery in 1999. Group shows include, RHA on numerous occasion; ‘The French Connection’ Ava Gallery, Hunt Museum, (2010); and David Hendricks Gallery (1974).

Solomon’s work is held in collections of The Model, Sligo; Ulster Museum, Belfast; Crawford Municipal Gallery, Cork; The Arts Council / An Chomhairle Ealaíon; Dublin City Gallery The Hugh Lane and the National Gallery of Ireland, Dublin.
